New Delhi: Health Ministry Joint Secretary Luv Agarwal on Corona cases in the country said on Tuesday that there are nearly 9 lakh active cases in the country. There are less than 5,000 active cases in 20 states. Active cases are also declining in other States. The recovery rate is also going up. There have been 1,17,525 recoverys in the country in the last 24 hours.

He also said that the daily cases of corona have shown a decline of about 85 percent. We are seeing this situation after 75 days, which is a sign of a decline in the transition rate. In the age group of 1-10 years, 3.28 per cent of children were infected with corona in the first wave as compared to 3.05 percent due to the second wave. In addition, 8.03 percent of children in the age group of 11-20 years were infected in the first wave and 8.5 percent in the second wave.

He further said that so far a total of more than 26 crore people in the country have been given vaccine doses. Health Ministry Joint Secretary Luv Agarwal said vaccination is an additional tool in the fight against corona infection. I appeal to all to give priority to cleanliness and to wear masks and follow corona protocol including social distance. Also avoid travel as much as possible. On the other hand, NITI Aayog member Dr VK Paul said that the new variant of corona virus has become smarter than in 2020. Now, we need to be more careful. We have to follow a more social link. The mask has to be worn continuously. Without this, things can get worse again.
