The Commissioner reviewed the possible third wave preparedness of corona at a division level meeting last Wednesday afternoon.

The meeting was attended by Dean, MGM Medical College, Dr. Sanjay Dixit, Heads of Departments of various departments associated with medical colleges, CMHO, and medical experts from all districts, etc. The meeting has revealed that the new variant of the corona is currently being studied at various levels. At the same time, it has been informed in the meeting that a lab for genome sequencing is to be set up at MGM Medical College. It requires new machines and equipment.

With the lab being built, the new variant of corona will now be detected in Indore itself. Such labs in the private sector are also set to be launched in Indore soon.''
