New Delhi: New Zealand today announced their 15-member squad for the World Test Championship (WTC) final against India starting on Friday. The match between the two teams will be played at the Agees Bowl ground in Southampton. The good news for New Zealand is that their captain Kane Williamson has recovered from an elbow injury and will be seen leading the team once again in the match.

Williamson suffered an elbow injury before the second match of the recently concluded Test series against England and could not participate. In his absence, Tom Latham took charge of the captaincy. According to a media release released by New Zealand Cricket (NZC), wicketkeeper-batsman BJ Watling has also returned to the squad besides captain Kane Williamson. Colin de Grandhomme has been included in the 15-member squad as an expert all-rounder, while Ejaz Patel will be the team's only specialist spinner. Mitchell Santner and Darryl Mitchell, who are in the squad for the England series, have not been named.

Tom Latham, Henry Nichols, Ross Taylor and Dave Conway, who are part of the squad for the England series, have all been retained in this 15-man squad. Speaking of fast bowling, it includes Trent Boult, Team Southee, Matt Henry and Kyle Jameson. While Will Young has been included in the list as additional batsman and Tom Blandal as additional wicketkeeper.
