Auckland: New Zealand has taken a major decision amid the ever-increasing corona cases in India. Passengers coming from India in New Zealand have been temporarily banned. New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern has taken a decision in this regard on Thursday. The ban will also apply to those who are New Zealand citizens and are currently in India for some reason.

The New Zealand government has said that the ban on people coming from India will start from April 11 and continue till April 28. In the meantime, the Government will think of other ways to restore the traveling. New Zealand has already banned the entry of passengers from several other countries. India was also included in the list then. However, the stay was later lifted after the cases came down.

However, the decision has once again been taken by New Zealand when the second wave of the corona epidemic continues in India. More than one lakh cases of corona have been registered in India in a day for three days in the last four days alone. According to reports, more than 1.25 lakh new cases have been found on Wednesday. Maharashtra is the worst affected by corona in India. About 60,000 new cases have been reported in Maharashtra in the past. Similarly, cases have increased in Delhi. About 5500 cases have been reported here in the last 24 hours. UP has also seen around 5,000 new cases and Karnataka has seen around 7,000 new cases.
