London: Following widespread unrest following the death of a 17-year-old boy, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office revised its travel advice for British tourists planning to vacation in France.

Four nights of violence and unrest in France's major cities have been brought on by resentment over the police killing of Nahel M, a teenager with Algerian and Moroccan ancestry.

Following the social media virality of a video showing Nahel being shot by police on Tuesday during a traffic stop in a suburb of Paris, riots broke out.

Given the "unpredictable" location and timing of the riots, British tourists to France have been advised that their travel may be disrupted and that curfews may apply.

Since June 27, there have been riots all over France, many of which have turned violent. Targets include businesses, public structures, and parked vehicles. The updated travel advice warned that there might be delays in local transport and that road travel might be affected.
