Vehicle manufacturer Honda is preparing to introduce a new model of its popular sedan car City. The next-generation Honda City has been spotted testing in India for the first time. Recently leaked photos have revealed that the new Honda City will be longer and wider than the current model. From the front, its styling will be somewhat like Honda's flagship sedan car Accord. The new city will see large wraparound headlamps with LED elements, a wide grille with thick chrome stripe and a large Honda badge in the center. There will be LED wraparound tail lamps on the rear side.

According to media reports, the new generation Honda City will get updated engines. It will have a mild-hybrid petrol engine. The company has revealed that it is developing a new and more compact hybrid system for models such as Next-Generation Jazz and Citi.

The BS6 diesel engine will also be an option in the new city. Apart from this, like Amaze, it can also be given the option of diesel-CVT. The new Honda City is expected to be introduced at the Auto Expo next year. Its competition in the market is going to be from cars like Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, Toyota Yaris, Maruti Ciaz and Skoda Rapid.
