Following a friendly match against Brazil, Neymar's most recent incident has rekindled speculation that he and Kylian Mbappe, a colleague at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), are not getting along. The Brazilian walked out of an interview when a reporter inquired about his opinions of the Frenchman, raising concerns about a potential clash once more.

Exists a gap between Kylian Mbappe and Neymar?

Neymar left an interview after being questioned about his friendship with Kylian Mbappe, as can be seen in the video below. Since the penalty controversy against Montpellier in August, the two are rumoured to have a chilly relationship. According to several stories, the two argued over who would receive the penalty kick. Even though PSG coach Christophe Galtier has stated that Mbappe is the team's designated penalty taker, Neymar ultimately took the penalty.

After the game, Neymar continued to like tweets that criticised Mbappe and the large contract the Frenchman signed at the Parc des Princes, fueling speculation about a future fight. Despite the fact that the Brazilian has since refrained from commenting on their friendship, Mbappe disputed rumours of conflict between the two and insisted that they have a great deal of respect for one another.

Rumours of a possible conflict were clarified by Christophe Galtier.

The PSG coach Christophe Galtier put an end to rumours of a possible argument between Kylian Mbappe and Neymar in an interview in late August. The French manager explained to reporters, "There is no discomfort. We saw each other quickly, the next day to be precise, to iron out all that and to say what we had to say to each other. That’s why there is no discomfort. I confirm it with a lot of sincerity, we had a very pleasant week at work where everyone worked to prepare the game against Lille."

Speaking of the penalty incident against Montpellier, Galtier added, "For this game against Montpellier, there was a specific order: shooter number one Kylian and shooter number two Neymar. That’s what happened. After, there is the interpretation when you give an order, what happens when there is a second one? Nothing happened on the second penalty, it was very short, there was an exchange and a discussion between Ney and Kylian. From the moment Ney felt to shoot it, Kylian let it go."

Despite the fact that Mbappe and Galtier appeared to have patched things up after the incident in August, Neymar's most recent failure to respond to a question regarding his French teammate might have simply reopened the subject of whether or not the two are at odds.
