The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is introducing a Vistadome service between Assam and Meghalaya to bolster the northeast's tourism industry.According to sources, a meeting was conducted with the district administrations of Meghalaya's North Garo Hill and Arunachal Pradesh's Papum Pare district to promote the area's financial growth.
The Railways has proposed introducing a completely new inter-state Vistadome service between Guwahati and Mendipathar, Meghalaya. The transformation of Nalbari Railway Station into a mini-park was also discussed with the Rangiya Division's Senior Divisional Business Supervisor. In addition, the NF Railway wants to construct a new vegetable and fruit store called "Arunachal Contemporary" on the Naharlagun Station in Arunachal Pradesh in an effort to promote local agricultural food.
Proposals for the development of various things sheds at Naharlagun, as well as the feasibility of transportation of car guests and various commodities, as well as their benefits, were discussed extensively. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav previously said that 'Tourist Circuit' trains will now run for visitors in the Northeast, passing via all of the region's major destinations.
Vaishnav stated that the Railways have worked hard to promote the Northeast's rich heritage and beautiful culture to the rest of the globe. Five 'Vistadome' services have already been launched, he added, with the goal of encouraging tourism in the area.
He stated that studies are being conducted to plan important railway lines in order to highlight the Northeast's beauty and to offer trains such as the Intercity and Jan Shatabdi Express. The railroads established the Vistadome train service between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, which may be highlighted. These trains travel five days a week between Tinsukia, Assam, and Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh.
