NGT notice to Kamal Nath's minister in illegal mining in Sagar

Sagar: In a case of illegal mining, the NGT (National Green Tribunal) has sent a notice to Govind Singh Rajput, Minister of Revenue and Transport in the Kamal Nath government of Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, the Chief Secretary and the Collector of Sagar district have been asked to submit a report by 7 January. This case is related to illegal mining of black stone in Banda of Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh.

The NGT has issued a notice regarding this matter. Also, the National Green Tribunal has questioned the SP of Sagar district as to why action was not taken on illegal mining. The next hearing of the case will be held on 9 January. It is worth mentioning that the Congress General Secretary of the Congress, Dr. Jaya Thakur, has filed a petition seeking to curb illegal mining.

Along with this, action has also been demanded against the illegal miners. The petitioner was accused of illegal mining by the minister himself on his land. Let us tell you that earlier the Supreme Court had ordered the state government to demarcate. But even after this, illegal mining is still going on, for which the NGT has sent a notice.
