NIA attested JeM terrorist, a conspirator in 2017 CRPF Camp attack

New Delhi: By the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorist Nisar Ahmed Tantray has been arrested after he was deported by the United Arab Emirates. Tantray was allegedly a key conspirator in the 2017 attack on the Pulwama Lethpora CRPF camp and had escaped to the UAE on February 1, 2019. He had fled to UAE a few weeks earlier.He was detained by authorities in the United Arab Emirates at the request of New Delhi. Following this, he was deported to national capital Delhi on March 31. Here it is to be noted that an official of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) told the JeM terrorist was flown in on a special aircraft from Dubai on Sunday. The NIA arrested Tantray at the Delhi airport.

JeM terrorists attacked the Pulwama Lethpora CRPF camp in December 2017, killing five CRPF personnel. Previously, the NIA had arrested an operative of the terror group in February on the charge of providing logistical support in the attack.Three heavily-armed terrorists had thrown grenades and entered the 185th battalion camp of the CRPF in Lethpora at nearly 2 am. Following the attack, Nisar had been absconding since December 2017. A warrant for Nisar's arrest was issued on the charges of having acted as one of the conspirators in the Lethpora attack.

Here it is to be noted that the arrested JeM terrorist is the brother of Noor Mohammed Tantray, who has been regarded as one of the most ruthless Jaish commanders. Noor Mohammad was only a little over 3 feet tall but was considered to be a brutal terrorist and a cunning terror planner.
