NIA raids in Praveen Nettaru murder case, killed for opposing Kanhaiyalal Murder

Bangalore: The NIA has conducted raids in the murder case of BJP Yuva Morcha (BJYM) secretary Praveen Nettaru in Karnataka. The NIA has raided the house of the leader of SDPI, the political wing of radical Islamist outfit Popular Front of India (PFI) in Dakshina Kannada district. NIA has raided the residence of SDPI national secretary Riyaz Farangipet located near BC Road, Bantwala taluk Parlia in Dakshina Kannada district. The NIA also seized Riyaz's mobile during this period. Earlier, the NIA collected evidence by raiding 33 places in the Praveen Nettaru murder case.

Earlier, Karnataka CM Bommai had said that Praveen's murder was a planned, organised crime. Along with this, he had said that CCTV cameras will be installed at all border places along the border with Kerala. Check posts will be set up, and temporary police camps will be set up at sensitive places in coastal area villages. Praveen Nettaru, district secretary of BJP Yuva Morcha in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, was brutally killed on July 26.

After working all day, Praveen was going back home after closing the shop, in the meantime, at around 9 pm, bike-borne miscreants attacked him with a sharp weapon. During the investigation, it was also found that Praveen had shared a post in support of Kanhaiyalal of Udaipur. That's why he was attacked. The connection of PFI is also coming out in the Praveen murder case. After this, there is a demand to ban PFI in the state.
