Jammu and Kashmir: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday in connection with a terrorism-related investigation. The raids took place in Srinagar and other locations, according to the NIA. To avoid any problems with the operation, agency authorities did not reveal the particular locations or the specific case in which raids were performed in the region.

Meanwhile, agency officials hinted that it could be linked to the Jammu and Kashmir terrorism conspiracy case, in which the NIA arrested two suspects on November 12.

The case concerns a physical and cyberspace conspiracy by cadres of proscribed terrorist organisations Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), Al Badr, and similar other outfits and their affiliates such as the Resistance Front (TRF), People Against Fascist Forces (PAFF) to carry out violent terrorist acts in Jammu and Kashmir and other major cities including New Delhi (PAFF).

These terrorists and cadres have carried out a number of terrorist activities, including the murder of several innocent civilians and security officials, thus unleashing a reign of terror in Kashmir's valley and undermining the state's writ.
