Jaipur: In the wake of the brutal murder of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur in Rajasthan, the Congress government in the state is trying to hide the fundamentalism that is flourishing in the Muslim community by seeking a terror angle to save its vote bank and repeatedly trying to prove it as a Pakistan connection. At the same time, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has categorically ruled out the possibility of any terrorist organization's role in the case.

The NIA has said that preliminary investigation has revealed that there may be no terror outfit but a terror group involved in the killing. It can have not only two Members, but many more Members. At the same time, the NIA will question the two accused who killed Kanhaiya Lal, Riyaz Akhtari and Gaus Muhammad, instead of questioning them in Delhi. Both the killers will be produced before the Special NIA Court in Jaipur on Friday (July 1, 2022).

The NIA has also denied the state government's claim that the killers had links with terror outfits in Pakistan. The NIA said that reports of both the accused are linked to a terror outfit are based on speculation. The state DGP, while trying to cover up the negligence of the police, had said that Rajasthan DGP M L Lather has said that a case has been registered under UAPA in the murder of Kanhaiya Lal and it is being investigated as a terrorist attack. DGP Lather had said that one of the accused, Gaus Mohammad, was associated with Dawat-e-Islami. Gaus Mohammad has also visited Karachi under the same organization in 2014. ┬а

On Wednesday (June 29, 2009), Cm Gehlot of the Congress-ruled state said, "The Udaipur incident is not a religious incident but a terrorist incident. The links of the accused are connected with international organisations involved in illegal activities. The culprits will be given strict punishment by the state government without delay. We should all come together and condemn such incidents in a peaceful manner.''

But after the NIA report came out, the question is being raised as to why the Congress government and the police administration of the state are engaged in proving it to be a terrorist incident given by terrorist organisations abroad. Why is the real problem being discussed? Does Congress want the entire blame for this incident to go to Pakistan and the terrorist organisations and not to discuss the growing radicalisation in the Muslim community? While the same Congress was all-powerful in proving the 26/11 terror attack as saffron terrorism, which was carried out by Pakistani terrorist Azmal Kasab.
