New Delhi: Six months after being arrested, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is ready to file a charge sheet against suspended DSP Devendra Singh this week. In this case, the charge sheet will be filed against 5 more people besides Devendra Singh. Hizbul terrorists Syed Naveed, Rafi Ahmed and law student Irfan Safi Mir were arrested along with DSP Devendra Singh from Kulgam in South Kashmir.

Devendra Singh was arrested by the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Jammu-Srinagar Highway on 11 January 2019. Devendra Singh was riding in a car, these three people were present with him in the car. It is said that Devendra Singh was trying to take these three out of Kashmir safely while avoiding the eyes of the security forces. In return, he was going to get a huge amount from the terrorists. Devendra Singh was going to become SP after a few days, but in the meantime, he was caught red-handed by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and dismissed from his job. After a week, the NIA took the investigation into this matter.

Naveed's brother Irfan Mushtaq is the fifth accused in this case. He was arrested on 23 January. Police have also arrested former chairman of Cross LOC Trade Tanvir Ahmed Wani in this case. Wani is accused of giving money to Hizbul terrorist Naveed.
