In a recent tell-all interview, Britney Spears's ex-husband Kevin Federline discussed the singer's relationship with their sons Sean Preston and Jayden James and asserted that they had been avoiding her. While Spears herself criticised Federline for his remarks, rapper Nicki Minaj stood up for her and offered encouraging words.

Minaj, in a recent episode of her live Queen Radio show, called out Federline for his comments about Britney and referred to him as a “clown”. She said,  "Do understand what kind of a clown you have to be, to be a whole grown f*****g man and as soon as you see somebody happy and getting married and moving on and being free and feeling good in their own skin. To do the very thing that you know is going to attempt to break them down", via Billboard.

Because he used Spears' fame to contact the media, Minaj also referred to him as a coward. The rapper continued, "She loves her kids more than life itself," in order to support Britney even more. Nicki further stated, in response to Federline's remarks, how unwise it was to openly involve the kids in such situations.

The Federline-Spears conflict started recently when Kevin revealed in an interview with The Daily Mail that their children had declined to attend the singer's most recent wedding to Sam Asghari. Federline claimed that the two boys are bothered by their mother's intimate Instagram images in addition to other things. In a social media post, the singer responded to the remarks and labelled them "hurtful."
