Guidelines have been announced by the district administration regarding night curfew in Dehradun Municipal Corporation area of Uttarakhand. Under this guideline, the Municipal Corporation Dehradun and Cantonment Board will be banned from night traffic from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm in Garhi Cantt Town. During the night curfew, traffic related to medical and essential services, fruits, vegetables, milk, petrol, and gas supplies are going to be exempted from traffic. Traffic is being given to people traveling by medical shops, petrol pumps, airplanes, trains, buses. Construction works of public interest will continue and there will be relaxation in the movement of workers and laborers associated with them. Personnel working in the industrial area are going to be allowed to come on the production of the identity card of the concerned industrial unit.
If a person from outside the city area commutes through the city area from his transportation to any other state, then such vehicles will be exempt. Those who attend the marriage will be exempted from the night curfew. Let us tell that the order to carry out a sanitization campaign has been announced in the Municipal Corporation area Dehradun from eleven am every Sunday. To prevent the spread of Kovid virus infection, compliance with the guidelines issued by the central and state government will be mandatory.
Public transport will remain closed amid the night curfew. According to the orders received from the government, this will be strictly done at night. All-day restaurants and cinema halls are to be opened at half capacity. Section 144 will remain in force in Dehradun amid the night curfew. After deciding the cabinet's night curfew, the Dunwans were upset over the questions related to waiver and restriction. ISBT, in particular, was skeptical about railway stations and passenger vehicles traveling late at night. Apart from this, the situation of hotel-restaurants, liquor shops, weddings and other events which were open till the late night was not clear.
