Ahmedabad: The Gujarat government has extended the night curfew till February 15 in four major cities of the state including Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot on Saturday. This step is being taken to stop the spread of Coronavirus in all these states. A senior official has given information about this. He said, "However, the duration of the nighttime curfew has been reduced from 10 pm to 6 am now from 11 am to 6 am."

In the month of November last year, there was an increase in the cases of Covid-19 after Diwali. During that time, the government imposed a night curfew in these four cities. The folding announcement was made, that the night curfew will remain in force till 31 January, but at present, there is an only one-hour reduction in time". Recently, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Pankaj Kumar said, "Gujrat will strictly follow the Covid-19 guidelines issued by the Union Home Ministry on January 27 from the beginning of February to the 28th."

He also said, 'Night curfew will be effective in the four metros of the state - Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat and Rajkot. But now it will be from 11 pm to 6 am till 15 February.' Further, he also said that the rate of those who are healthy with Covid-19 in the state has now come to 96.94%. But there is still a need to remain vigilant and alert and follow the recommended strategy to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
