Lucknow: Night vision devices will be manufactured for the country's security forces in Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh. For this, contracts have been signed between MKU of Kanpur and Thales Group of France. State Micro, Small and Medium Industries (MSME) Minister Siddharth Nath Singh has given information in this regard.
Uttar Pradesh MSME Minister Siddharth Nath Singh said on Monday that the French multinational company Thales Group, along with Kanpur's MKU, will manufacture 'night vision' equipment in the state for armed forces. Night vision devices help the jawans to watch them while patrolling the border during the night. According to the official statement, the project will be part of the Uttar Pradesh Defense Industrial Corridor being prepared in the state.
Uttar Pradesh MSME Minister Siddharth Nath Singh also has the charge of Export Promotion and Investment Promotion Department. According to a news agency, on Monday, he inaugurated the corporate office of the Indian unit of Thales Group in Noida. Along with this, Siddharth Nath Singh also requested the group to invest in making fighter aircraft parts in Uttar Pradesh and assured every assistance from the state government.
