Bhopal: In Habibganj, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, a case of raping a class 10 student in the name of exorcising evil spirits has come to light. Here a 30-year-old fruit seller committed rape for more than 6 months in the name of exorcising evil spirits from the body of a class 10 student. Police has registered a case in this matter. According to police officials, a class 10 student has been raped by an accused named Nihal Baig. The student has told the police that Nihal Baig had come to her house. The accused had claimed that his prayer would bring prosperity in the house and financial problems would end.
According to police officials, the victim's father had an electronic gadget business. The victim's mother is a teacher in a private school. During the lockdown, the victim's father had suffered a lot in business, due to which he went into depression. During this, the family members of the victim met Nihal Baig. Nihal Baig told the family that the girl's body is possessed by an evil spirit, which he can expel. Officials said that the accused used to visit the victim's house twice a week and explain to all the family members that when the rituals are taking place, they should stay in separate rooms. After locking the family members in the rooms, Nihal Baig used to carry out the rape of the girl.
The victim has alleged that Nihal Baig used to threaten to kill her parents after the rape incident. The matter came to light when the accused claimed that he had taken away the spirit and now he was not required to come to the victim's house. After listening to the accused, the victim informed her parents about the rape that took place against her. After listening to the victim, her parents lodged a case with the police. After receiving the complaint of the victim, the police registered a case and arrested the accused.
