Brie, Nikki Bella announce WWE retirement and new names. The twins made the announcement on their newly named SiriusXM show "The Nikki & Brie Show." "Today we are officially from here on out, the Garcia Twins, Brie and Nikki Garcia," Nikki declared.

Nikki then brought up questions they’ve been asked about the decision. Brie and Nikki Bella reveal their new names and WWE retirement.

The WWE championship belts and the Bella surname have been retired by Nikki and Brie Bella.

On their newly renamed SiriusXM show, "The Nikki & Brie Show," the twins made the announcement.

Nikki and Brie Garcia said, "Today we are formally the Garcia Twins from here on out. Nikki then brought up inquiries that had been made regarding the choice.

"Why, ask our listeners and the rest of the world? Why is your wonderful name, which you inherited from your grandfather Pop Pop, who used to call us "My Bellas, My Bellas," no longer used after seventeen years?"
"We're going to be 40 in November, we're mothers, we're entrepreneurs, we're executive producers, we're starring now, we're hosting shows, and when our contract came up with WWE, jointly we all understood that we simply wanted to head into this new chapter," Nikki ended.

The sisters expressed their gratitude for the benefits of becoming Bellas.
Brie stated: "Just want to say thanks to Brie Bella. The persona and name Brie Bella, which I have played for the past, very much, almost 16, 17 years... Brie Bella's chapter will soon come to an end, and I can't wait to set that book aside, start a new one, and see what Brie Garcia does next."

Nikki concurred with her twin in saying, "And Nikki Bella has my eternal gratitude. Nikki Bella gave me confidence, motivated me, and she really helped me lose my fear. Also, she has built a path and continues to advocate for youth and women, much like Nikki Garcia."

Beginning in 2007, the pair had a remarkable and significant WWE career that resulted in their admission into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020. They made a retirement announcement at that time but took part in the Royal Rumble in 2022.

On the sister's separate social media profiles, the name change to Garcia is already official.
