Corona test in Hyderabad city for security measures has increased. In this queue, On Friday, the Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in South India has transformed Cobas 8800 RT-PCR diagnostic devices into the first hospital to conduct 3,000 Covid-19 tests in a day. Cobas-8800 along with high end molecular diagnostic laboratory was established, which was inaugurated by Health Minister Itala Sridharon here on Friday. The state government has invested Rs 6 crore to set up a high-end lab in NIMS.

The services available in the Molecular Diagnostic Lab include arti-PCR tests, advanced microscopy, flow cytometry tests, aphorism machine systems, DNA sequencing machines, elisa readers, cell culture labs etc. In a statement, Rajapakse said, "Chief Minister, K Chandrashekhar Rao has given clear instructions to withdraw all stops and make all possible treatment facilities available to Covid-19 patients. With his encouragement, we were able to spend only Rs 6 crore to establish this laboratory. We will start the construction of the patient block for NIMS soon and come up with a plan to increase salaries of Class IV employees in government hospitals," he said.
