New Delhi: Patiala House Court has deferred hearing on the four convicts in the Nirbhaya gang-rape case. Justice Satish Kumar Arora of the Patiala House Court has said that the plea filed by the accused Akshay Kumar Singh in the apex court, first the Supreme Court should decide on it, then we will hear the case. Also, the judge of the court lambasted the counsel for the accused that they are dragging the case deliberately and they do not allow the accused to appear.
Having said this, the judge has said that now the next hearing of this case will be held on 18 December. During this, Nirbhaya's parents were also present in the court. On the demand of issuing the death warrant by Nirbhaya's parents, the judge said that a hearing will be held only after the Supreme Court verdict comes. Let us tell you that the convicts had to appear through video conference on Friday.
The apex court will hear on December 17 on a review petition filed by one of the four convicts facing death sentence in the 'Nirbhaya' gang rape murder case. In fact, the man found guilty in the case has requested to reconsider the Supreme Court's 2017 verdict confirming his death sentence.
