Bhopal: Today is the birth anniversary of many great personalities amidst the corona crisis. Meanwhile, today is the birth anniversary of Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon and Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has bowed to him. MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted: "The glory story of the brave son who entered Pakistan in the 1971 war and shot down his planes, awarded the Param Vir Chakra, sacrificed everything for the birth anniversary of Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon Ji, will always inspire the youth to serve the nation.''

 

 

Apart from him, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra also tweeted. In this tweet, he wrote: "Salutations to Param Vir Chakra awardee Flying Officer Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon on his birth anniversary, who played a key role in India's victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war! The nation will always remember the love and sacrifice of the brave son of the Indian Army.'' Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang also tweeted.

In a tweet, he wrote: "On the birth anniversary of Param Vir Chakra awardee Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon Ji, who saved Srinagar airbase on his own in the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971, he was felicitated.'' Tell all of you that Flying Officer Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon was the hero of the Indo-Pakistan War 1971. On this day, in 1947, Flying Officer Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon was born in Ruka village, Ludhiana, Punjab.
