The world-renowned carmaker Nissan has launched its best compact SUV Nissan Kicks base diesel variant Nissan Kicks XE in India. The Nissan Kicks Diesel is now available in the entry-level XE trim. The XE variant will be equipped with automatic climate control, rear air con vents, 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth connectivity and a cooled glove box. Safety features like dual front airbags, EBD, ABS, brake assist and rear parking sensors are available.
The XL variant now features vehicle dynamics control, Echo mode, 17-inch alloy wheel, front fog lamp, roof rail, multi-function steering wheel, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Led projector headlamps in XV trim, smart card for keyless entry, engine start/start There are stop buttons, cruise controls, hill-start assists, 2 tweeters, and electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs. The XV pre variants feature carbon fiber finish, leather seats, and leather-wrapped dashboard, 360-degree camera, side airbags, automatic headlamps with cornering front fog lamps, canister sensing wear, dual-tone black, and brown interior theme.
The Nissan Kicks are powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 105bhp at 5,600rpm and 142Nm of torque at 4000rpm. On the other hand, the diesel variant is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 108bhp at 3,850 rpm and 240bhp at 1,750rpm. The petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, while the diesel engine gets a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Nissan Kicks XE is priced at Rs 9.89 lakh.
