Ujjain: Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has laid the foundation of a 534 km long road network in Ujjain on Friday. Many ministers of the Bharatiya Janata Party government, including CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, attended the foundation stone laying ceremony. This gift is going to be very helpful in increasing the pace of development of Ujjain division. Today in Ujjain, Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone of all 11 roads of 534 km to be built at a cost of 6,247 crores.

At the same time, many ministers have attended this ceremony along with CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In the history of Ujjain, the foundation stone of the road network is the biggest. Till now, the foundation stone of such a huge amount has not been laid in Ujjain together. The opening ceremony has been organized at Makodiyaam square, Ujjain. Ujjain District Magistrate Ashish Singh said that with this network of roads, many districts of Ujjain division, including Ujjain, Dewas, Susner, Agar, Garoth, will be connected to the big cities of Tehsil level, which will increase the means of employment.

The Collector said that after laying the network of roads, many new businesses and factories including industries, warehousing will be established. Road network is very important for big industry. Apart from this, the land prices of farmers will also increase. Due to the Simhastha Mahaparva to be held in Ujjain in 12 years, these roads are also going to prove to be very effective. Apart from this, tourism will increase in Ujjain. Devotees coming here by road are going to get a lot of facilities.
