Panaji: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari will release the BJP's manifesto for the Goa assembly elections on Tuesday, February 8. The BJP had postponed its programme to be held on Sunday to release the manifesto after the news of the demise of the country's voice Kokila and Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar was received. The Goa BJP unit said that on Tuesday, Gadkari will reach Dabolim airport at 11 am, after which he will leave for Panaji from there.

The BJP has set a deadline of around 12:30 pm in the capital, Panaji, to issue Sankalp Patra. Minister of State for Tourism and Ports and Goa's election co-in-charge Shripad Naik, former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Minister of State for Railways and Textiles Darshan Jardosh (also the election co-in charge of Goa), CM Pramod Sawant, Goa President Sadanand Shet Tandade, Goa Desk in-charge CT Ravi and several other top leaders from the Centre and the state will be present on the occasion. After the release of the election manifesto, Gadkari will participate in various election campaign programmes.

Congress had released its manifesto for the upcoming Goa assembly elections on Sunday. Not only this, during this time, veteran party leader P. Chidambaram has promised that mining activities will resume in the coastal state if his party comes to power.
