Patna: On Thursday, former Union Minister RCP Singh announced that he would join the BJP. Two days ago he had appeared fainted in saffron in Nalanda's Silao. Since then, the discussion of his joining the BJP had gained momentum again. At the same time, RCP Singh once again attacked Nitish Kumar regarding the candidature of the Prime Minister. He said that Nitish Kumar cannot become PM even after seven births. At the same time, on the question of becoming a minister at the Center, he said that Nitish Kumar is lying. It was only with the approval of Nitish Kumar that he became a minister. Lalan Singh was also aware of this.

It may be noted that after breaking the alliance with the BJP, Nitish Kumar had claimed that he did not agree to the inclusion of RCP Singh in the Union Cabinet. Asked for more seats in the Union Council of Ministers, the BJP had at that time told JD(U) that it can give only one ministerial post as Shiv Sena has also been given only one ministerial post.

Former national president of Janata Dal-United, RPC Singh, who was once considered the right hand of CM Nitish Kumar, resigned from the primary membership of the party on 6 August. He had announced his resignation in his village Mustafapur in Nalanda. In fact, JDU had refused to send him to the Rajya Sabha for the third time, due to which he had to resign from the post of minister in the Modi government. With the announcement of his resignation, he had said that there is nothing left in this party. That (JDU) is a sinking ship.
