It is worth mentioning here that the chairman of the State Food Commission was the late JDU leader Mo. Salam passed away on June 19 at Apollo Hospital in Delhi. He was suffering from kidney disease and underwent transplant surgery on May 13. But they could not be saved. Mo. Salam was also the chairman of the State Minority Commission and was also the head of the JDU Minority Cell. After his death, CM Nitish Kumar reached Munger on Sunday and met his family members and consoled him.
Nitish Kumar met Mo Salam's wife and 15-year-old son Atif Salam and consoled him. Nitish Kumar arrived at the airport in Safiyabad from Rajgir at 1:05 p.m. from the helicopter. He was received by Vandana Kiny, Zonal IG of Bhagalpur, DM Rajesh Meena and SP Rakesh Kumar in-charge. He was then taken to The Mo. at Dilawarpur at around 1.15pm. Salam had arrived at the house.
