Patna: The rift between Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and JD(U) Parliamentary Board chairman Upendra Kushwaha is increasing day by day. Now Kushwaha has attacked Nitish's statements. He said that Nitish Kumar started the conversation with me through the media.

He said that Nitish Kumar himself did not call me in the last two years. I spoke to Nitish Kumar over the phone on every necessity. He said that there are some people who stay with Nitish Kumar for 29 out of 30 days but did not give time to Upendra Kushwaha. Nitish ji and I also have children, they should come in front and swear. Chief Minister Nitish should give me time to meet. Most of the people sitting in power with Nitish Kumar have come here. Most of the leaders used to come and go with him from the era of the Samta Party, I am not one of those who came and went. Thereafter, he demanded Nitish to call a meeting of the National Executive. He said that the JDU president should call a meeting of the executive committee soon to discuss the matter on the party forum. He said that in this meeting the talk about the deal with RJD came to the fore.

Kushwaha told that he had met Nitish Kumar in the third week of December. I informed about the weak position of the party after the Kudhani assembly by-election, but instead of taking strong action, Nitish kept expressing apprehensions that I will go with the BJP. Even after I merged my party with JDU, I aimed to make JDU number one. Upendra Kushwaha had said that Nitish Kumar has become weak in recent times. JDU is getting weak due to this. Some people in RJD are conspiring to weaken Nitish Kumar. Politically, whenever Nitish Kumar has become weak, we worked to cooperate with him. Today some people are abusing Upendra Kushwaha, but it doesn't matter to him. On this, Nitish Kumar denied the allegations of Kushwaha. He said- Our party has not become weak. These are false allegations. What people have to say let them say. No one from our party is in touch with any other party. He said - I did not stop anyone. Leaders can come and go at their will.
