Nityananda got accused for holding 2 daughters hostage, parents approached court

New Delhi: Swami Nityananda, who considers himself to be God, has once again been mired in controversies. A couple has accused Nityananda of allegedly taking their two daughters hostage. In order to free both of their daughters from the clutches of Nityananda, the couple have approached the Gujarat High Court. The couple filed a petition against Nityananda in the Gujarat High Court on Monday. The petitioner, who hails from Karnataka, pleaded with the court to release their daughters.

Petitioner Janardan Sharma and his wife told the court that in 2013, they admitted their four daughters to an educational institution run by Swami Nityananda in Bengaluru. All of them were between 7 to 15 years old at the time of admission. Meanwhile, the couple came to know that their daughters have been shifted to another branch of Nityananda Dhyanpeetham this year. This branch is present in the premises of Delhi Public School in Ahmedabad. On getting the information, parents tried to meet the daughters.

In the petition filed in the court, the couple said that the people of the institute did not let them meet their daughters. After which they sought the assistance of the police. With the help of police officers, they brought back their two minor daughters. It is further claimed in the petition that during this meeting both the daughters refused to accompany them.
