According to reports, Vijay decided to skip his birthday celebrations in order to show solidarity to the victims who lost their lives during the police firing against Sterlite protesters in Thoothukudi.
This sweet gesture by Vijay is already winning the hearts on social media. A song shoot of Vijay's 'Thalapathy 62' completed Last week, Vijay made headlines after he personally met the families of the victims in Thoothukudi. Reportedly, the actor also donated Rs 1 lakh to each family and pictures of Vijay along with the family members went viral on the internet.
Meanwhile, Vijay is presently shooting for his much-awaited ‘Thalapathy 62’, which is being directed by AR Murugadoss. Produced by Sun Pictures, the makers have over a month left for the shoot to wrap up. Also starring Keerthy Suresh, Pala Karupaiah, Radha Ravi, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Yogi Babu in important roles, the yet-untitled film is likely to release by the end of this year. AR Rahman is officially on board for the project.
