New Delhi: The Government today has decided that there will be no extra charges for card transactions at all the petrol pumps after the owners of petrol pumps warned that they will stop accepting the cards.
Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of State for Petroleum said "Consumers will not pay extra for digital transactions,". He further said "There would be no burden on retail fuel outlets as well".
On Sunday, the Petrol Pumps Association postponed its decision of not accepting card payment for fuel purchase till January 13.
