The coronavirus has spread across the world at this time. People are waiting for a vaccine to get rid of it. Everyone wants to get the vaccine as soon as possible. In the meantime, a statement by WHO (World Health Organization) chief Tedros Adhanom has come as a surprise to everyone. He said in a statement on Tuesday, "The vaccine that is being worked on for Covid-19 cannot be guaranteed that it will work." He said in a virtual press briefing, "We cannot guarantee that the vaccines being developed around the world will actually work. We test several vaccine drugs on different candidates. We hope that we will get a safe and effective vaccine".

He also said that "Vaccine trail on 200 candidates is underway". He said, "About 200 vaccines for Covid-19 are currently under clinical and pre-clinical testing. The history of vaccine manufacturing tells us that some vaccines are successful and some fail". Along with this, he also said- "Through COVAX, governments will not only circulate the vaccine but will also ensure that people in their country can get an effective vaccine soon. Even more important, COVAX 'facility is a mechanism that will enable world-class coordination to have a great potential impact".

WHO has developed a mechanism in collaboration with Global Vaccine Alliance Group, Gavi and Epistemics Preparedness Innovations for Alliance (CEPI). So that vaccine can be provided equally to needy countries in future.WHO has named its scheme as 'COVAX'.
