New Delhi: The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), a political organisation of the Popular Front of India (PFI), an Islamic fundamentalist organisation in Mysore, Karnataka, has openly threatened the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and bajrang dal. The threat has also been captured on camera. According to the report, SDPI leader Nooruddin Farooqi has threatened the Sangh and Bajrang Dal saying that 'Tipu Sultan's army' will "take out their eyes". Tipu Sultan Party members say they will gouge out eyes of RSS/Bajrang Dal cadres if they attempt to take back temples in Karnataka. Jehadis say they will demolish the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and again build a mosque over it. Hindus shouldn't dismiss these threats. pic.twitter.com/0CiOYZd7Kw

According to media reports, hindu organisations in Mysore were supposed to organise an event to recite Hanuman Chalisa at Srirangpatna Masjid as organisations claim that there used to be a Hanuman temple in the place where the mosque is now located. The SDPI had then taken out a march to protest against the planned programme during which the SDPI member made a controversial statement during the protest. The protest was held on December 6. A video of the SDPI member's speech is fast going viral on social media. In it, Nooruddin says, "I want to tell the Bajrang Dal and the Sangh in Karnataka that if they want to destroy secularism and pretend to see the Srirangpatna Masjid, every soldier of Tipu Sultan is ready to take your eyes out. No matter how big a temple you build, the slogan of Allahu Akbar will echo. '
In an attempt to calm the matter slightly, the senior member of the SDPI told the media, "SDPI member had just said that if RSS comes to destroy the Constitution, or secularism or mosque, he will take out their eyes. Karnataka Minister Eshwarappa and MP Ananthkumar Hegde have made similar statements in the past. Yatnal has also abused. It is not a big deal compared to them. '
