No mention of Nagaland civilian massacre in President Kovind’s address: Congress leader Manish Tewari

President Ram Nath Kovind did not make any statement regarding the civilian massacre in Nagaland, according to senior Congress leader Manish Tewari, speaking before of the Budget session in Parliament.

Speaking to the media, Tewari added that the President made no statements concerning the slaughter of people in Nagaland, nor did he mention anything about the deaths during COVID-19's second wave. He went on to say that the President had nothing to with restoring Jammu and Kashmir's statehood.

"Neither the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan nor the terror implications for India were highlighted in his speech," he continued. The budget session of Parliament opened today in the Central Hall with President Ram Nath Kovind's speech to both Houses. Nirmala Sitharaman will submit the budget to the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, February 1.

On Monday at 11 a.m., the President delivered a speech to both Houses of Parliament.
