No more outdoor mask-wearing in Israel after COVID cases rate falls

Globe is still struggling to overcome from the second wave of novel coronavirus. The vaccination drives are carried in every nation, people are requested to follow COVID-19 protocols whereas Israel has cancelled the mandate of wearing masks in outdoor region. Yes, it's shocking but true that after a noticeable drop in infection rates in Israel, Health Ministry allowed citizens to move around in the open-air without wearing masks starting from Sunday.

The country's health ministry said in their statement that "In light of the morbidity figures that continue to be low throughout the country ... Director-General of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Hezi Levy, amended the Public Health Order so that there is no obligation to wear a mask in an open area, starting tomorrow, April 18," on Saturday. The statement was quoted by Russian news agency Sputnik. This move of Israel has come amidd the global death toll surpasses 3 million mark on Saturday. The latest report of COVID-19 data was released by Johns Hopkins University. The total infected cases registered worldwide, according to the latest data 140,379,953 and the deaths across the world stand at 3,007,708.

According to the ANI, following the drop in infection rates in Israel health ministry advised the public to wear face coverings at large outdoor gatherings. Also, indoors it is obligatory to wear as a safety measure. Reports also claim that Israel started vaccinating its population December last year and the country which is also a rollout to world.
