No More Posters Outside Houses Of COVID-19 Patients: Delhi Government

The restrictions of putting posters outside the houses of COVID-19 patients by the Delhi government has been eliminated according to the official source for those who are under home isolation in the national capital, on Thursday. They said the move is conducted at underrating the embarrassment resulting from the affixing of such posters at the front doors of such patients. So there will be no compulsion to put a poster outside the houses of COVID-19 patients who are under home isolation, As the data revealed by authorities the State currently 12,890 COVID-19 patients under home isolation in Delhi.

The main purpose behind taking the decision has been that the state government found out that numerous people, even those with symptoms, were not coming forward to get tested, stressing that a poster will be put up outside their homes. Even those who have mild symptoms or are asymptomatic are suggested to stay under home isolation under the Delhi government’s policy. Until now, posters were bound at the entrance of their homes. But on Thursday, Delhi’s COVID-19 tally crossed the three-lakh mark with 2,726 fresh cases, while the death toll due to the disease mounted to 5,653 with 37 casualties recorded in the last 24 hours.

As per the sources, there are presently 12,890 COVID-19 patients under home isolation in Delhi. Those having delicate symptoms or are asymptomatic are instructed to stay under home isolation under the Delhi government's policy. As before the instructions passed by the government, posters were affixed at the entrance of their homes. whereas on Wednesday, the case tally stood at over 2.98 lakh with 2,871 fresh cases, while the death toll was 5,616 with 35 fresh casualties
