In an interview, the 43-year-old actor opened up about his long absence from the silver screen, "The kind of content I want to be a part of, is hardly made. At the same time, I have not closed myself to anything. As long as it excited me, I am game for it."
"The kind of stories I like often comes from debutant directors. So, to ensure that the film sees the light of the day is a long process in itself," Abhay added.
Interestingly, Abhay will complete 15 years in the industry in 2020 but he feels that there won't be much to celebrate. He told, "I haven't bagged awards or made any landmark project, so there won't be much to celebrate. If you go against the mainstream narrative, you do not get the (desired) visibility."
The actor will be next seen sharing screen space with Mithila Palkar and Vijay Raaj in a web film. He will also be starring in Rohit Karn Batra's crime film, Line of Descent alongside Brendan Fraser and Ronit Roy. The movie is slated to release in June.
