The North Atlantic Treaty Organization  (NATO) and the United statex have made it clear that no troops will be deployed, leaving Ukraine's military,  far inferior to Russia, to hold off the assault alone.

According to reports, few expect it to emerge triumphant from what is almost destined to be a lengthy, brutal, and cruel battle. The NATO would concentrate its efforts on preventing the violence from spreading to other countries.

Poland, one of the alliance's members, shares a long land border with Ukraine. Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, all NATO members, will now be concerned about a Russian attack.

According to the report, the alliance began shifting its forces early Thursday, putting 100 warplanes on high alert in Europe and sending extra troops to the Baltics.

Biden declared Putin a "pariah" on the international stage during an impromptu White House press conference, and urged the West to confront the "bully." He stressed, though, that the US would not send soldiers to Ukraine to aid.  'Our military are not, and will not be, involved in the confrontation in Ukraine with Russia,' he said. Our military are heading to Europe to defend and reassure our Nato partners in the east, not to combat in Ukraine.
