Ranchi (NT): On the occasion of the makar Sakaranti RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav will get special food dahi Chura but no visitors are allowed to meet him in the jail.Lalu is serving 3.5 years jail term in the relation to the Bihar fodder scam.

On Wednesday, Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is currently served at Ranchi's Birsa Munda jail, appeared before Judge Shivpal Singh in connection with another fodder scam, and reportedly made a subdued attempt at seeking bail, before complaining about jail authorities not allowing him to meet more than three visitors a day.  However, the judge – who had last week handed over the 3.5 years jail term to Lalu Yadav – refused to help the veteran politician in this matter, citing official procedures

Not one to back down so easily, Lalu again persisted with his request on Wednesday, this time, using Makar Sankranti, which comes on January 14, as an excuse and reminded the judge of how he has always celebrated with 'dahi-chura' on that day.Makar Sankranti is about to come. How would I eat Chura Dahi in jail ,Lalu reportedly asked the judge in a lighter vein.At this, the judge attempted to assuage the jailed leader, saying that he would arrange for 'dahi-chura', that is curd and flattened rice, for him in the prison
