New Delhi: Abhijeet Banerjee, who received the Nobel Prize in Economics, is known for criticizing the economic policies of the current government. Many leaders of the ruling party also attacked him about this. Abhijeet Banerjee was seen avoiding questions when he met the media after meeting PM Modi on Tuesday.

During this, he answered a journalist's question in a very funny manner. Referring to the Prime Minister's statement, Abhijeet Banerjee said that he is not going to get caught in the web of media because the Prime Minister has already expressed it during the meeting. The Nobel laureate, while speaking to the media, said, 'PM Modi started the conversation in a very funny way, saying that the media would incite me (Abhijeet) to talk anti-Modi, but I don't have to get stuck.'

After this, while alerting the journalists, Abhijeet said that you know whether the Prime Minister watches TV and everything is monitored by him. He is watching the media. He know what you guys are trying to do. He has already expressed apprehension about it. Actually Bhejit had said that the banking sector crisis is very serious and frightening. We should be concerned about this. We need some important and quick changes. Abhijeet Banerjee's suggestion was also in the manifesto of Congress Party's Lok Sabha Election 2014.
