Four persons have been booked for allegedly looting man on the pretext of giving him lift in their car

Gautam Budh Nagar police today arrested a gang of miscreants after firing for some time on Sunday. Under the information received, the gangs used to rob people by giving them lifts in their cars. It was only after the reports came in that the police reportedly came into action and nabbed the gang. Talking about the case, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police said, "There are many reports that a gang of miscreants is robbing people by giving them lifts. He further said, "The misguide used to threaten people with screwdrivers and ask them about their ATM PIN.''

At the same time, he said, "A team of policemen from Beta 2 had been patrolling the area regularly since 5 am for the last three to four days to nab the culprits. On the other hand, a senior official informed that while patrolling chowk this morning, he saw the miscreants in a car and later signalled them to stop, but they hurried to lie towards Chuhadpur underpass. The police team then immediately barricaded the underpass from both sides after which the miscreants opened fire on the policemen. Four accused Anand Verma, Shiv Kumar Verma and Babloo Verma Deepak Verma were injured in the counter firing.

Police said, the four injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Police have recovered a SWIFT VDI car, Rs 1 lakh cash, screwdriver, hammer, ATM card, desi pistol live cartridge from all of them. Police say they have learnt in a preliminary investigation that the gang was involved in several incidents of robbery and about a dozen cases have been registered against him in Delhi, Mathura Rajasthan. On the other hand, an official said, police are currently interrogating the four miscreants and further investigation is on.
