Noida International Airport, which is slated for inauguration by the close of the coming year, is gearing up to commence operations with a robust plan that encompasses up to 65 daily flights. These flights will serve a diverse array of purposes, with 62 catering to domestic routes, two connecting to foreign destinations, and one dedicated solely to cargo services, according to official sources.

The airport's inaugural phase, which recently obtained its exclusive IATA code DXN, remains on course for the ambitious launch scheduled for October 2024. Spearheading these ambitious initiatives is Noida International Airport Ltd (NIAL), a specialized entity established by the Uttar Pradesh government to oversee the airport's development.

Officials at NIAL have disclosed that, in addition to well-established metropolises like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune, there are ongoing negotiations to incorporate short-haul flights to destinations such as Dehradun and Pithoragarh among the initial routes. The selection of these routes is a meticulous process that involves a thorough evaluation of the airport's capacity, commercial viability, and insights garnered from airlines.

The imminent unveiling of Noida International Airport represents a momentous leap forward in terms of bolstering connectivity and air travel opportunities, both domestically and globally. As preparations gather momentum, the airport stands poised to emerge as a pivotal transportation hub, fortifying the region's aviation infrastructure.
