Noida: After being confined for 51 days, a teenager girl escaped and found her way back home. The victim was allegedly abducted and raped by three youths. The three accused took the victim to an undisclosed location. Two of the accused used to reside near Mamura. The accused were identified as Aditya, Chotu and Suraj. Though the victim could not completely recall the location where she was confined, she did know two of the accused.
It was alleged that the accused abducted the victim and kept her in a room. The victim was allegedly raped between March 2 and April 22. The accused allegedly threatened to murder the victim and warned her against escaping.
However, on April 22 the victim successfully escaped. After reaching the home, the victim told her parents about the incident. The father alleged that they approached Phase 3 police and were asked to sign a paper. Though the parents asked the police to get the victim's medical examination done, they did not do anything. The police then stayed mum and there was no development in the case.
The victim's family then approached the Gautam Budh Nagar SP (crime) with a written complaint and filed an FIR against the accused. The accused were booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the POCSO Act.
The Phase 3 SHO Akhilesh Tripathi stated that the victim's father had not signed any papers before the police and that an FIR has been lodged against the accused. It was also added that the victim's statement will be recorded under CrPC 164.
