Lucknow: A court in Uttar Pradesh's Mau district has issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Omar Ansari, the younger son of former MLA and mafia Mukhtar Ansari. This warrant has been issued in two cases registered for violation of the code of conduct. According to reports, the mafia's son Umar did not appear in the court on Friday (May 19) on the date fixed in these cases. The next date of hearing has been fixed for June 2, 2023. On the other hand, the verdict against Mukhtar Ansari on the Kapil Dev Singh murder case has been postponed for now.

According to media reports, two cases of violation of the code of conduct are registered against Mukhtar's son Umar Ansari. Mukhtar's elder son Abbas Ansari is also accused in the same case. The matter is being heard in the MP/MLA court of Mau district. On Friday (May 19), in the same case, Abbas was produced through video conferencing from Kasganj Jail, but Umar Ansari did not appear. In the absence of Omar, the CJM issued a non-bailable warrant and fixed June 2, 2023 for the next hearing. According to the information, charges were going to be framed on all the nominees on this day. But, the charges could not be framed due to the absence of Umar Ansari. 

The other accused involved in the case are Ganesh Dutt Mishra, Mansoor Ansari, Mohd Isha Khan, Shahid Lari, Shakir Lari, Dharmendra Sonkar and Zulfikar. On 27 February 2022, Abbas Ansari had won the assembly elections, after which the roadshow was taken out without the permission of the administration. A few days later, on March 10, 2023, the victory procession of Abbas Ansari was also taken out. The police have registered FIRs in both these cases and presented the documents in the court. The case is going on trial, in which charges against all the accused were to be framed on Friday.
