Delhi doctors to do strike from tomorrow for not getting salary for 3 months

New Delhi: Doctors and health workers of polyclinics and dispensaries related to all the six major hospitals under Northern Municipal Corporation will be on strike from Monday to protest against non-payment of salary. The Doctors and Health Workers of Hindurao and Kasturba Hospital continued the strike for the seventh consecutive day on Saturday. Due to this, medical services in the hospital remained closed. Although emergency services are running smoothly.

On giving information, Dr Maruti Sinha, general secretary of the Northern Municipal Corporation Physicians Association, said that in protest against the non-payment of salary, apart from six hospitals including Rajnababu, Maharishi Valmiki, Girdharlal and Balkaram hospitals, besides the Hindu Rao and Kasturba hospitals under the Northern Municipal Corporation. Health workers of all dispensaries and polyclinics concerned will be on strike from October 19.

Head of Resident Doctors Association of Bada Hindurao Hospital, Dr. Abhimanyu said that doctors and health workers are facing a lot of difficulties due to non-payment of salary for three months. Many doctors do not even have the money to pay the rent of the house. Resident doctors of AIIMS have also come out in support of the doctors of the corporation. On Saturday, doctors supported the strike by lighting candles in the hospital premises.
