New Delhi: There is chaos in North India since the arrival of monsoon. There has been a lot of destruction in Bihar and Assam. The lives of millions of people have been disturbed. In Uttarakhand, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rains for the next 3 days.

In Dehradun, during the rains that occurred for a few hours on Wednesday, water was flooded at many places in the city. Roads waterlogged and vehicles parked on the road were submerged in water. In Dehradun, roads have been closed due to landslides at many places.

The idol of Lord Shiva, situated at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand, has been completely submerged in the floodwaters. The wailing waves in the mountains have caused panic among the people. On Wednesday, mountains appeared in Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand, and the debris fell downwards causing havoc. After the torrential rains, many roads were destroyed in the Mori village area. SDRF had to conduct rescue operations by making a temporary bridge.
