The actress, who has appeared in films like Maa Uri Polymera and Qubool Hai, feels that there are not enough opportunities for Telugu women in Tollywood. Why are you casting an actor from another region when you are writing a story about Telugu people?" He asked.

The actress is sure that she will continue her passion and work in the entertainment industry even though there are setbacks along the way. She says while directing is not the same as acting, Kamakshi feels she has adapted to the new medium early.
