Lord Shiva tried to persuade Goddess Parvati, but Goddess Parvati took it as an insult and vowed that if this gold palace could not belong to her, then no one else could take it. Thereafter in Treta Yuga when Shiva took Rudravatar as Hanuman Ji and in Ramayana when all the characters were selected and then Lord Shiva told Goddess Parvati that, 'You can become Hanuman's tail to fulfil your wish with which she can burn Lanka herself. In the end, Lord Hanuman lit the Lanka which was made of Gold with his tail and Goddess Parvati in the form of a tail.
