Till now you must have seen people dancing after drinking beer, but did you know that now your car will also drink beer? You must be thinking what are we saying? So let us tell you that now scientists have developed a new technique to convert beer into a sustainable fuel i.e. petrol. While on the one hand the whole world is engaged in finding alternative sources of fuel, on the other hand scientists have found a solution for this during their researches.
According to scientists at the University of Bristol, UK, so far only 'bio-ethanol' is used as a new alternative to fuel, but it has low energy and density. Due to this it cannot ideally be kept in place of petrol. Another disadvantage of this is that it easily dissolves in water, due to which the engine of the vehicles has to bear its damages.
Talking about butanol, it can be a better alternative to fuel, but converting it into fuel is a very difficult task. Scientists at Bristol's School of Chemistry have been working for many years to convert ethanol into butanol. Now in such a situation, development of beer as a fuel is a new achievement in this direction.
